Cordova was truly beyond our dreams! A town of less than 3,000 people, only accessible by plane or ferry, surely presented us with challenges—more than we anticipated—nothing should be taken for granted in a place like Cordova.

Oh, what a glorious return to our homeland! It had been eight long months of not hosting a Supper in our neck of the woods and we couldn’t have found a better place to set our table. The sunlight coming through the blossoming orchard, the sound of the river close by, and a luscious spring menu full of color and exquisite flavors.

A few weeks ago, we picked up a bottle of COR Cellars’ Cabernet Sauvignon and we drove to NE Portland, where we were warmly welcomed into Rachael and Andrew Williams’ home. Rachael is the extra talented ceramicist behind Margaret + Beau, a playful, minimal, handmade ceramics studio in Portland, OR. Our first encounter with her happened so organically…

With adventure in our hearts, a few of us packed up just a few items and headed to the Gorge to reset and take some time for nature and an epic lunch! We roasted up some winter citrus brined game hens, which we enjoyed with brie crudités and finished with pears poached in chai!
