An hour outside of Portland, a seven-mile gravel road winds up a heavily forested hill before opening up to panoramic views of the Columbia Gorge. Those views were just the beginning — for dinner, we walked up into the pine canopy to dine on a treehouse platform overlooking valley views that stretched for days.

We newly call Maine home - and this was our first Supper in Maine since moving here. For us, this Supper captured everything that made us choose to move here and bundled it up in a perfect New England weekend - amazing food, specifically the lobster and oysters, stunning landscapes and history, that New England seaside vibe, but most of all - a warm and genuine community.

At last! We gathered with familiar and new faces at Rocky Moon, a beautiful farm in the Oregon high desert, for a culinary adventure with Chef Joe Kim at the helm and it was just as peaceful and joyful as we imagined it.

It was lovely to end our regular Supper Series in our home state, in Tillamook, Oregon. We were settled in an open field, on a hydrangea farm at Oregon Coastal Flowers. It was a perfect, peaceful setting within the small valley and the forested hills.

Oh, what a glorious return to our homeland! It had been eight long months of not hosting a Supper in our neck of the woods and we couldn’t have found a better place to set our table. The sunlight coming through the blossoming orchard, the sound of the river close by, and a luscious spring menu full of color and exquisite flavors.
